Vodafone has released a statement claiming that Google has halted the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone that was recently released to European users. The reason was unspecified, but Vodafone did say that other European carriers are affected by the action as well. No word on when the update will be available again, but Samsung and Vodafone claim to be working hard to resolve it.source: Vodafone, via: Engadget
