Verizon has slashed the price on its original iPad to $299 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model. That's $100 cheaper than AT&T's first-gen iPad price, for those keeping score. If you're one of many consumers who have been waiting patiently in the wings for that price to drop further, now is the time for action, as we don't see Verizon's stock lasting very long with prices like that. This sale is already underway at Verizon Wireless retail locations. Other versions of the iPad are also seeing price cuts at Verizon, with the 32GB model at $399.99 and the 64GB at just $499.99. Verizon doesn't offer built-in 3G models of the original iPad.
