Succeeding the first iteration of the Watch GT, the new Huawei Watch GT 2 comes with the new Kirin A1.  It is Huawei’s first self-developed chip for wearable devices.

With a dual-chip design and power-saving algorithms, the Huawei Watch GT 2 boasts a long battery life of up to two weeks.

Clad in a classic metal body, the Watch GT 2 flaunts a bezel-less 3D curved glass face. Huawei used a gemstone processing technology to cut high-quality glass. It can withstand harsh elements such as dust and water.

Huawei Watch GT 2’s AMOLED display does not only have a brilliant screen. It also offers an accurate touch response when fiddling with the device’s user interface (UI). With a variety of watch faces, users can personalize their Watch GT 2 depending on their mood.

Huawei Watch GT 2 As Your Personal Trainer

A personal training companion for both indoor and outdoor activities, the Huawei Watch GT 2 tracks your workouts. The smartwatch does this by utilizing GPS and GLONASS satellite positioning systems. The watch updates you with your whereabouts and tracks your progress. It is ideal for hiking or when completing a marathon.

The Watch GT 2 comes preinstalled with more than ten running courses.  Users can choose among these courses depending on their running goal. There are courses for new runners, people who want to lose weight, and those who want to boost their stamina.

Now on its 3.5 version, Huawei’s TruSeen feature makes a comeback on the Watch GT 2. Coupled with an intelligent AI heart rate algorithm, it accurately measures your heart rate. This feature works throughout the day until the time you are asleep.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 extends its heart rate monitoring feature even when you are swimming. With 5ATM water resistance training. The watch also measures SWOLF (Swim Golf), distance, calories burned, and speed while you are swimming.

In addition, the Watch GT 2 monitors VO2 max or the maximal oxygen uptake during incremental exercise. VO2 max reflects a person’s cardiorespiratory fitness and endurance capacity during intense physical activities.

Huawei Watch GT 2 As Your Health Companion

Monitoring your health even when you are at rest, the Huawei Watch GT 2 scientifically tracks your sleeping pattern. It can diagnose if you have a sleeping disorder and give suggestions for better sleep. With your heart rate and breathing assessed, the smartwatch evaluates your overall sleep quality.

Equipped with the Huawei TruRelax feature, the Watch GT 2 manages stress levels. The smartwatch does this by providing you with breathing training at the right time. Step count, calories burned, and the number of times you stand up are also on the checklist of the watch.

Apart from its focus on fitness and health, the Huawei Watch GT 2 also includes other relevant features. The Bluetooth calling feature enables you to make or receive calls even when your hands are occupied.

The device can also store up to 500 songs and pair with Bluetooth earphones. For example, if linked to a Huawei FreeBuds 3, you can listen to music while working out.

An all-around assistant, the Watch GT 2 helps you in managing your daily routines. The smartwatch comes with Calendar, Weather, Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch, Flashlight, Find My Phone, and notification features.

Available in two case sizes, the 42mm variant of the GT 2 comes in Elegant and Sport editions. Meanwhile, the 46mm version is on offer in Classic and Sport editions.

Huawei Band 4 And Band 4e

The Huawei Band 4 and the Huawei Band 4e possess features such as Huawei TruSeen 3.5 and TruSleep 2.0. Preloaded with nine exercise modes, Huawei Watch GT 2’s smaller relatives can suggest suitable workout routines based on the user’s heart rate.

In addition to the exercise modes, the Huawei Band 4e also comes with a dedicated Basketball Mode. This feature records air-time data and average moving speed for performance analysis. The smart band can be worn on the wrist or as a shoe accessory while running. When in foot mode, the Huawei Band 4e helps in minimizing injuries during intense workouts. The smart band does this by utilizing a 6-axis motion sensor.
