Today at MWC in Barcelona, BlackBerry maker Research In Motion announced a new mobile gifting platform for its BlackBerry users. The new service will allow carriers to enable mobile gifting for its BBM users so prepaid and post-aid customers can use the new BBM gifting service to pay for service, apps, and the alike. The new platform also allows users the ability to request service via BBM and the receipt can choose to either accept or deny the charge. An example of that: A parent can approve a child's request for more airtime minutes or a new application using a BBM message.source: RIM
