We hope there's some sort of pricing scheme that's been lost in translation here. Best Buy currently has a website posted that says the Motorola XOOM, an Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet for Verizon Wireless, will be available for pre-order this Thursday. It's priced at a whopping $1,199, which is what you'd pay for a much more powerful notebook. We assume there will be a carrier subsidy option available too, but even still that price rings a little too high for us. As Engadget said, hopefully that figure is just a placeholder for the real price. We'll keep you updated as Thursday approaches.
