Today Sprint announced that it has agreed to extend Motorola's support for its iDEN network for three more years. In conjunction with that announcement, Sprint also said it that it will launch two new Motorola iDEN push-to-talk handsets during the first quarter of 2011. One is the Motorola i866, a rugged phone with the "first ever" side-sliding QWERTY keyboard and corporate e-mail on an iDEN phone. Motorola will also replace the Motorola i680 with the i686. The i686 can be immersed in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Sprint did not provide images or further details, including pricing or exact release dates, for either device.source: Sprint
