During its annual Analyst Day meeting in New York, Qualcomm announced the latest member of its Snapdragon family of processors, the MSM8960. The MSM8960 is a dual-core chip that should deliver five times the performance of the original Snapdragon chip while consuming 75 percent less power. That means better performance for a longer amount of time. The MSM8960 is equipped with a multi-mode modem that supports 3G and long-term evolution (LTE) 4G networks. Built in WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, and upgraded graphics capabilities are also included.
