Android-powered LG Optimus S smartphone now available from Sprint

Sprint is now offering a new Android smartphone, the Optimus S from LG. On sale now, the Optimus S is an entry level Android device that offers some great features for an attractive price.

The Optimus S runs Google's Android 2.2 operating system and offers users a large 3.2-inch touchscreen display that is a great platform for the on-screen virtual keyboard needed for text input for messaging. The smartphone also provides users with 3G and WiFi connectivity as well the ability to act as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

Other features of the Optimus S include a 3.2 megapixel camera and camcorder, access to Sprint services like visual voicemail and Sprint ID packs to enhance the user experience, and Bluetooth support. The LG Optimus S is on sale now at Sprint for $49.99 with a qualifying service agreement.
