Speaking during a Facebook Mobile event today, during which Facebook announced that it is releasing Facebook Places and Facebook Groups for Android, Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg set some rumors straight. He confirmed that Facebook is not working on a Facebook phone. "There's been this rumor that Facebook is going to build a phone. What a novel idea, but no," Zuckerberg said. The company will instead focus on building out its mobile applications and services. One announcement on those lines is that Facebook is planning to open up its Location API for developers. Stay tuned for more news from the event
