Samsung Launches 3G SGH-Z130
Product Launch by Michael Oryl on Tuesday February 15, 2005.

Samsung SGH-Z130Here at 3GSM in Cannes, France, you can't help but notice all of the Samsung advertisements placed around the show. The ads feature 3 new 3G handsets from Samsung, the most interesting from a visual and design perspective has got to be the SGH-Z130. The Z130 has a clever rotating main display for viewing videos in landscape mode, but does so while maintaining an otherwise normal candybar form factor.
The handset supports the 2100Mhz UMTS 3G band as well as the 900/1800/1900Mhz GSM bands, for real world roaming capability. The phone supports 64 voice polyphonics and makes use of them when playing MP3, AAC, and AAC+ music files. Also in there is a megapixel digital camera with a 4x digital zoom.
You can view the photos you take, as well as RealOne compatible video streams, on the large 176x220 262k color main display. Bluetooth and a built-in speakerphone round out the package nicely.
You can find a gallery of live photos of the Samsung SGH-Z130 from 3GSM on the following page.
