Today Verizon Wireless announced that it will soon offer the Casio G'zOne Ravine. The G'zOne Ravine is a rugged phone that's designed for outdoor enthusiasts; it is able to resist dust, shock, vibration, humidity, altitude, salt fog, solar radiation, high and low temperatures, and water.

The G'zOne Ravine comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash. It also offers text-to-speech and voice dictation support, Clear Talk noise cancellation technology, a voice recorder, and multiple messaging options. Verizon Wireless is also including its VZ Navigator software for voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. Casio's G'zGear software offers a triple sensor for direction, acceleration, and temperature readings, too.

Other features include an earth compass, a walking counter, thermometer, tide graph, sunrise and sunset information, an astro calendar, and a star gazer application.

The Casio G'zOne Ravine will retail for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate. An exact launch date was not announced.
