Today Telenav announced that it has updated the AT&T Navigator application to version 1.7i. The latest version, Telenav says, is the first to offer direct speech recognition.
Apple iPhone users can press a button from the homescreen, speak their destination, and AT&T Navigator will begin providing directions. The application also now supports lane assist, red light traffic camera location information, new OpenGL graphic animations, and a battery save mode.
