Google just announced that it has updated its Google Voice Android application with a new Google Voice Inbox widget feature. There are actually two widgets involved. One lets you quickly flip through text messages, and another allows you to quickly open Google Voice, compose a message, change what calls to place with Google Voice, or activate a do-not-disturb feature. The second widget also displays your balance.
Google Voice with widgets is available in the Android Market now, and you will need a valid Google Voice account to use them.
