Today on its Google Code Blog, Joshua Bloch of Google's Open Source Programs Office said that Google will be unable to present at the JavaOne Java developer event in San Francisco as planned due to the recent lawsuit filed against Google by Oracle.

In the suit Oracle, the developer of Java, alleges that Google's Android smartphone OS infringes upon several Oracle Java related patents, something that Google denies.

Bloch states that Google has been a participant at every JavaOne show since 2004, and that he has spoken at each event since 1996.
