Today Verizon Wireless confirmed that the Motorola DROID X is sold out, or in low stock, in some parts of the country. But it's not sold out everywhere, and Verizon Wireless confirmed with Mobile Burn that it phases in its shipments, and that it's just the initial order that's running low. In fact, you can still buy the device on Verizon Wireless' website, and it will ship by July 23rd.
The official statement from Verizon Wireless is: "Customers have been enthusiastic about the launch of the Droid X by Motorola and inventory is either out or very low in some parts of the country. Customers may continue to order their phones and our expectation is the phones will ship on or before July 23. We have weekly shipments scheduled."source: Verizon Wireless
