Last week at the 2009 CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, our correspondent Brad Kellett spent some time with the Sony Ericsson T707 and took some pictures of this sharp new clamshell cell phone.

The T707 has a unique approach to notifications and controls, allowing users to see and feel notifications with lights and vibration, and also allowing the device to be controlled by gestures. Kellett said that he was unable to get the gesture controls to work, but the device was a pre-production model, so it was too early to give fault it for that issue.

The T707 comes complete with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP support for stereo headsets, and includes Sony Ericsson's storied multimedia functionality. The device is nothing to write home about, Kellett said, but for the price, its user interface is full-featured.

Kellett also said that the keypad on this clamshell phone has well-spaced keys and good motion. The Sony Ericsson T707 will ship with three colored shells, though pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
