Hands-on with Sony Ericsson's W960 Walkman Smartphone
Gallery by Michael Oryl on Friday June 15, 2007.
Here are a bunch of live photos of the new W960 Walkman phone that Sam took while attending the Sony Ericsson press event in Hong Kong. The W960 is a Symbian OS device that runs a new version of the UIQ 3 user interface that has been optimized a bit to work better with fingers and traditional hardware controls. You'll notice that the touch screen display is flush mounted with the frame of the phone, which seems to be all the rage these days (Apple iPhone, HTC Touch, LG KE850 Prada, etc).
With a whopping 8GB of flash based storage inside and finger based album selection, the W960 looks to be able to compete with Apple's iPhone at least as far as base specs are concerned.
