Gallery: Nokia BH-200 Bluetooth Headset

Gallery by Michael Oryl on Tuesday January 10, 2006.

Here are a few live CES 2006 photos of Nokia's new entry-level Bluetooth headset, the BH-200.

The BH-200 is slated to have a list price of US$55, which is on par with what one would expect to pay for a headset from a smaller Asian firm, yet this is from Nokia. At only 14g (about a half ounce), it is lighter than most other headsets on the market currently. It won't set any records with its 5.5 hours of talk time, but a few years ago that kind of talk time would have been near impossible for a headset that weighed twice as much, let alone one that should be available on the street for less than $50.

I am not really sold on the clear plastic ear clip, though. The design strikes me as odd, and I have my reservations about the arms being flexible enough, but I'll reserve final judgement until I can get an evaluation unit.

Nokia says that the BH-200 should be available this quarter.
