During CES last week we had a chance to visit Huawei's booth to check out its new Android 2.2 powered Huawei IDEOS X5.

The phone felt nice and compact in my hand and reminded me a bit of a slicker version of the budget-friendly LG Optimus Android phones that launched on a number of U.S. carriers. It has a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor, a 5MP camera with a single LED flash, 4GB of storage, GPS, and more.

The IDEOS X5 is expected to hit the market this month, although it's unclear what carrier it will launch with, or for how much.
