What is "Android 4.0"?

Often referred to by its nickname, Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0 is the version of the Android OS that brings together the features found in Android 2.3 Gingerbread for smartphones and the tablet-specific version known as Android 3 Honeycomb. It also offers a new system font called Roboto, and features a number of user interface improvements. Ice Cream Sandwich debuted in November 2011 with the release of the Google Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
