What is "Flash Memory"?

Flash memory is a type of solid state drive (SSD) storage, which means it needs no power to run and has no moving parts, it is a common memory type used in SD cards and storage USB flash drives. Its relatively low cost, good power consumption, and compact nature makes it a good choice for mobile devices and portable storage products.

The most used flash memory types are NAND and NOR.
