Our online glossary is here to help you make sense of the terminology used in the cell phone industry. It covers mobile technologies, such as 3G and 4G, and even includes a bit of information on smartphone operating systems and the companies that make the cell phones and other mobile technology devices we all use.
Android 4.2 (AKA, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean) is the first major update to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean build, released on November 13, 2012. As part of the Jelly Bean family and arriving just months after Android 4.1, this build offered more measured improvement over the Android 4.1 experience. One major change came in the lock screen, which Google made much more functional with the addition of widgets and the ability to swipe directly to the camera. Other changes included a new clock application with world time and stopwatch, and a larger list of actionable notifications.
