Yesterday we picked up a new Google Nexus 7 Android tablet while attending the 2012 Google I/O developer event in San Francisco. The Nexus 7 is the first ever Nexus tablet, and also the first device to be announced with the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Earlier today, Samsung and AT&T announced the Focus 2, the successor to the earlier Focus Windows Phone smartphones for the carrier. The Focus 2 features support for AT&T's LTE network - a first for a Windows Phone from Samsung - and runs Windows Phone 7.5.

During a meeting with press this week, HTC showed off some potential case designs for the One X smartphone. The cases would give owners that aren't fans of the black or white color options of the phone a way to brighten up their devices while protecting them from damage at the same time.
