HTC Desire 610 is Verizon bound

HTC has been beefing up its range in the United States of late across a number of the country's carriers, including the Desire 816 and the Desire 610. The latter of those handsets has been available with GoPhone, but is now getting bigger support as it has been picked up by Verizon, the biggest carrier in the US. The handset has also landed on AT&T recently, so now has some serious carrier support.

T-Mobile issues update for HTC One M8, M7, Samsung Galaxy S4, and LG G3

T-Mobile has gone update crazy as the Uncarrier company has lavished a slew of its flagship handsets with a new patch. The fourth largest carrier in the US has sent out an update for a number of its partner flagship devices from 2013 and 2014, including the HTC One M7 and M8, the Samsung Galaxy S4, and the LG G3.

Verizon to update the HTC One M8 to Android 4.4.3 Sept 10th

The HTC One M8 has been getting the bump to Android 4.4.3 over the last month, with handset variants all over the world receiving the update. In The US AT&T, T-Mobile , and Sprint have sorted out their updates, but in typical fashion Verizon is running late to the party. Big Red inexplicably delayed the roll out last month, but has now at least confirmed that Android 4.4.3 will arrive on its HTC One M8 variant on September 10th (tomorrow).

Sprint starts offering the HTC One E8

Sprint has confirmed that the HTC One E8 will be arriving for its customers and the handset is available now on the third largest carrier in the US. The E8 is in some ways a watered down version of the HTC One M8 flagship, featuring plenty of flagship specs but getting a plastic body instead of the M8's ultra-premium metal unibody.

When the HTC One M8 launched on Windows Phone yesterday it caused a significant stir for all kinds of reasons. However, like other Windows devices, it was tied to one carrier, in this instance Verizon, with the general thought being that the M8 for WP was exclusive to the biggest carrier in the United States. However, it seems that is not entirely the case as Big Red?s big rival AT&T is also getting in on the act.

T-Mobile has been shaking up the carrier industry in the US for a while now with its "Uncarrier" movement, and it has been working. The company has added millions of subscribers and a bunch of goodwill along the way as popularity and profits rose. Now T-Mobile has launched a new Pay as You Go plan that it hopes will continue to entice more customers to the brand.
