iOS 9.2 Beta Available for All Compatible iPhones

The Public Beta of iOS 9.2 has been made available to everyone by Apple, or at least those who have a compatible iPhone that is. The days of betas being solely for developers has long gone, and if you so choose you can check out build 9.2 of Apple's iOS platform, although it is worth remembering that this is not the finished and polished version that will be rolled out over the air in the coming weeks.

DROID Turbo 2 and DROID MAXX 2 Available from Verizon Today

Verizon has revealed that its two Motorola exclusive, the DROID MAXX 2 and the DROID Turbo 2, are available to purchase from today. Of course, Big Red only has exclusivity on those handsets inside the United States, around the world the MAXX 2 is known as the Moto X Play, while the Turbo 2 was announced as the Moto X Force in other regions of the world.

Huawei Soars, Ships 27 Million Smartphones in Third Quarter

Huawei is continue to enhance its position in the smartphone market. The Chinese company is currently locked in a fight for third place in the market against the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo/Motorola, and LG. Huawei's third quarter shipments suggest that company may be the front runner to take that third position at the end of this year.

It seems that HTC's new "flagship" One A9 will be available across the four major carriers in the United States. The device was already confirmed for AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile and now Verizon has stated that it will be carrying the new smartphone too.

Samsung Project V Folding Screen Smartphone has Retailers on Board

We have heard plenty about Samsung's aspirations to release a smartphone with a fully foldable screen. Starting as Project YOUM, the company was the first to offer curved glass on a handset, then the first to bend a screen (the EDGE handsets) and will now the first to launch a real folding device. That has been the rumor for the last couple of months, and right now it is looking like the real deal.

Despite Apple's third quarter iPhone sales falling below analyst predictions the company still shifted vastly more units compared to last year and CEO Tim Cook is in bullish mood. He said that Apple continues to steal consumers from Android and the company reported that its expansion in China and Taiwan is going extremely well.
