ASUS ZenWatch 2 Launching at Computex Next Month

The current ASUS ZenWatch is one of the best wearables on the markets, good-looking and solidly spec'd, but the company said that the sequel would not arrive until next year. That was the news from ASUS CEO Jerry Shen back in April, but news in Taiwan now suggests that Shen has changed his mind and says the smartwatch is on course to be launched during the third quarter of 2015 instead.

In Taiwan this beefier high end bothering device has a price tag of around $285, still plenty of bang for your buck considering its solid specs. Unfortunately is will not be quite so cheap in the United States.

While the 1080p 4GB of RAM variant grabbed the headlines, the lower 720p 2GB of RAM variant is also very good, and is very affordable. It is one of the better looking smartwatches on the market, but its Android Wear platform means it doesn?t really come with any differentiating features and is the same as other wearables on the software.
