HTC Teases One M10 Ahead of March Launch

The Ball's in your court HTC. Just about all of the company's main Android rivals used the MWC week to launch new flagships, such as Samsung, Xiaomi, LG, and Sony. The Taiwan based giant also announced some low end affairs, but the HTC smartphone we all want to see is the One M10, the company?s upcoming flagship device.

Xiaomi finally got around to launching its Mi 5 flagship, nearly two years after the Mi 4 was launched. However, the Chinese company is not ready to wave goodbye to the aging Mi 4 just yet and has revealed an updated Mi 4S version that beefs up the specs to high end quality.

Chinese company Meizu has been doing excellently on the smartphone market of late, but the company has just been dealt a devastating blow. It has not come from a rival company/device, or from a lack of sales, but from Mother Nature! The earthquake in Taiwan has "crippled" the company's production lines have been knocked out and caused huge damage to Meizu's infrastructure.

We were not expecting much from Sony at the Mobile World Conference, and while the company didn't launch a new flagship, it did arrive with three rather enticing products. The Xperia X is among them, and it is looking like continuing Sony's recent quality output in the mid-range market. Hopefully this can buck another Sony trend, the one where its quality smartphones fail to sell in great numbers, but we?ll wait and see on that front.

Nokia Biding Time for Ideal Return to Smartphone Market

Nokia has been out of the smartphone game for over two years, since it sold off its Lumia devices and services division to Microsoft. As part of the deal the Finnish giant could not make a rival device until this year, but with that accord coming to an end Nokia is ready to make handsets again. The company's CEO used an MWC press event to say the company wants to make a new smartphone, but is in no rush.

Alcatel Raises Curtain on POP 4, POP 4+, POP 4S

Alcatel is working closely with Microsoft and Windows 10 these days, but the company has not turned its back on the Android platform though. Indeed, at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona there are three new Alcatel devices running the Android software, the POP 4, POP 4+, and POP 4S. As you can probably tell by the names, these are all variants of the same handset.

As well being an innovative device, the LG G5 is also an complete performance beast too and is showcasing the full might of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The previous Snapdragon 810 was a misstep for the chip manufacturer, but the 820 is a beast and it has powered the LG G5 to a record score on AnTuTu.
