Apple to sell 200 million iPhone 6 units in 2015?
By Luke Jones on Tuesday October 07, 2014

Apple?s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been selling well. Actually, that's an understatement as they have been breaking records and are set to go through the roof again when launched in China and India later this month. However, how well Apple's flagship device does through a launch period is only part of the story as the iPhone has always had fantastic staying power. The iPhone 6 could take that to another level.

The iPad Air 2 gets a substantial leak
By Luke Jones on Monday October 06, 2014

It is almost certain that Apple will roll out a new iPad during the month, but details around Cupertino's new slate/s have been thin on the ground. Until now that is, as a major leak has laid bare some of the finer details of the iPad Air 2 and a new iPad Mini, although the much rumoured iPad Pro is still proving elusive.

By Luke Jones on Monday October 06, 2014

We reported a few weeks ago that through the first 24 hours iOS 8 adoption was lagging behind that of iOS 7 a year ago, and it seems that is still the case a few weeks in. Analytics firm Fisku says that twelve days after release iOS 8 is lagging behind both iOS 6 and iOS 7 adoption rates, although independent analysts put the number above Fisku's figures but still falling short of iOS 7.

UPDATE: 4 million "reserve" the iPhone 6 in China
By Luke Jones on Friday October 03, 2014

There are some out there who believe Apple could release anything and it would be a hit. The company has been under the microscope over the last week because of the "bendgate" saga where iPhone 6 devices were breaking under a bit of stress. That, you may have thought, would slow up the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on their quest for global domination, but it hasn't. In fact things just get better as China is entering the fray and consumers in the country do not seem put off in the least.

Apple to launch new iPads on October 16th
By Luke Jones on Friday October 03, 2014

Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus media event was the biggest launch of the year, and it even had a little watch too. The roll out of the smartphones has gone well (ahem, bendgate aside) as the handsets have romped to massive sales. However, the fact that these devices and the launch would be a success was a given, as close to a certainty as you can get in this industry. However, Cupertino faces a shakier launch when it rolls out the new iPads.

iPhone 5c sales remain strong, tops UK in August
By Luke Jones on Wednesday October 01, 2014

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus may be stealing all the headlines from just about every other device, but the old iPhones are not doing too badly either. That even includes the often ridiculed iPhone 5c from last year, or as some others consider it, the plastic one. However, the 5c has been a proper success and it normally gets close to the top of best seller lists, such as in the UK where it has been the best-selling handset in August.

Apple to offer a gold colored iPad
By Luke Jones on Wednesday October 01, 2014

I suppose we can look back on the Apple iPhone 5s and see it as an innovative device. It arrived with a 64-bit processer, something Android is still yet to do consistently and it also featured a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, tech that rivals have not quite matched in terms of quality. Oh yes, the iPhone 6 also came in a gold hue, a color that has been copied by just about every major rival since. It is a small innovation, but hey, Apple started the gold trend people.

iPhone 6 to arrive in China on October 10th
By Luke Jones on Tuesday September 30, 2014

Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus around the world over the last two weeks and "Bendgate" aside the smartphone has been a huge success. The handset shifted 10 million units in three days, a record amount, but that number could have been higher. Apple would have ideally liked to have launched the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in China too, but the country put a halt to its release until it passed regulatory approval.
