OnePlus Announces First Carrier Agreement

It seems that OnePlus and its flagship killing OnePlus One smartphone are finally growing up after the company made a pretty big announcement. Co-founder Carl Pei dropped the bomb that the manufacturer has linked up with a carrier for the first ever time, and said carrier will be offering the OnePlus One smartphone.

Oppo R7 Leaks

Oppo's next smartphone high ender, the Oppo R7, has leaked in what is rumoured to be an official render, although some reports are pointing to a potential concept mock-up. The handset will be replacing the Oppo R5 and that means it will be very thin. You may remember that the R5 launched last November was the thinnest smartphone ever at 4.85mm, a record it held for about two weeks.

Cyanogen 12 Roll Out Delayed for OnePlus One

Those rocking the OnePlus One flagship killer have been expecting a software update to Cyanogen 12 for their smartphones. However, the upgrade has now been pulled, at least for the time being as the patch has been halted. Not to worry though, OnePlus says this is not a negative decision such as the phone bricking or software problems.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Available from May 6th

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch its new flagship, the Mi Note Pro, on May 6th, finally relasing the smartphone that was launched back in January. The company's CEO Lei Jun announced the information via Xiaomi?s Weibo page today. The handset will be available in China for pre-order and will cost the equivalent of $533.

OnePlus to Sell 3 to 5 Million Smartphones this Year

OnePlus has only been with us for two years, but the company has come a long way. Sure, the brand is known for the slow roll out of its smartphone and even a few PR disasters, but behind it all the is the OnePlus One. The "flagship killer" has been well received, selling 1 million units last year. China Mobile accidently leaked (an executive posted an image) of the rumored new low cost smartphone coming from Xiaomi. The handset is supposedly running on a Leadcore CPU and will cost the bargain price of $80 ISD. The device has passed through TENAA, the Chinese version of the FCC, and is certified for sale.
