The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a couple of generations old these days, but Samsung has long confirmed that the two year old former flagship is getting Android 5.0 Lollipop. That futureproofs the handset for a while and gives it the latest full build of Google's mobile OS. AT&T has now started rolling out its Android 5.0.1 update for customers running the Galaxy S4.

LG's latest smartphone user experience was leaked yesterday, which seems to have prompted the company too officially unveil the software. Android 5.0 Lollipop is now making its presence felt on a lot of devices and is continuing to spread its wings. For handsets a little tighter to Google's influence the march is already on to get Android 5.1, with the build already landing on some Nexus device, which are Google's own products of course. It now seems as though the Motorola Moto G Google Play Edition is next in line, with the handset now receiving an OTA update to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Sony Confirms Android 5.0 Lollipop for Xperia Z

Sony has been slow getting Android 5.0 Lollipop to its devices, but the company has announced the update for the Xperia Z3 and Zperia Z2 range recently. The Japanese giant also revealed that the Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra are also in line for the upgrade, but what about the older Xperia Z? At two years old, the former flagship is aging for sure, but Sony confirmed today that the device will indeed be getting a lick of the Lollipop in the near future.
