T-Mobile Updates HTC One M8 to Android 5.0 Lollipop

HTC has completed its Android 5.0 Lollipop preparations for the One M8 flagship on time, as it said it would within three months of the software's release. However, once the update is in the hands of the carriers it is up to them as to when the patch reaches your handset. Luckily, T-Mobile is acting fast and the HTC One M8 is now receiving the update on the Magenta network.

HTC rolled out its first full tablet last year, the problem is, the Nexus 9 is more associated with Google and Android than it is the Taiwanese company. That's because HTC produces the table to fly Google's Nexus banner. However, the smartphone maker is going to enter the slate market on its own two feet in 2015 using the Nexus 9 as a blueprint, according to reports.

Bloomberg has waded in on the rumor that HTC will ditch its UltraPixel technology for the upcoming One M9 smartphone flagship. It has been oft reported that the Taiwanese giant will get rid of the 4MP rear snapper from previous One models and will replace it for a 20.7MP lens from Sony that will come with HTC's own EYE Experience software.

Rumors of an HTC built smartwatch has been around for some time, and the company even admitted that it shelved its wearable until the market is more mature. Recently a HTC marketing employee told me that the company will roll out its first smartwatch alongside the One M9 flagship at MWC in March. There are now more reports today that the watch will arrive at the mobile event in Barcelona in six weeks' time.
