AT&T has reportedly sent out an introduction email to testers of its AT&T 3G MicroCell femtocell. Testers received their 3G MicroCells on Tuesday, and the trial is expected to last for 8 weeks.

A rumored new plan from AT&T would create a cell phone trade-in program for customers who are unhappy with their current AT&T cell phone. The trade-in would earn customers a credit towards a new phone purchase, if the rumors are accurate.

AT&T has been rumored to be working on its own femtocell for some time. Now it appears to have accidentally published details of its 3G MicroCell ahead of the official announcement. The AT&T 3G MicroCell should provide up to 5,000 square feet of 3G coverage in a home or small office.
