Sony has had a quiet start to 2016 on the mobile front, having a dead CES that was void of any smartphones, wearables, or tablets. So, we cast our eye to the Mobile World Conference (MWC 2016) that is kicking off at the end of February, does Sony have something planned for that event?Yes is the simple answer, but whether it is something really exciting (new flagship) or something smaller remains to be seen. The Japanese company sent an invite for a 22nd February event that will be held just before the full MWC event gets underway. This invite is fairly non-descript, so much so that we are not even going to show it in the main image as it simply states #SonyMWC. Hardly exciting, and hardly teaser packed like we are used to with invites for flagship model launches, but there is still hope that the Xperia Z6 will raise its head at the largest mobile trade show in the world. That said, Sony has sporadic form in launching flagships at MWC, with only the Xperia Z2 making its debut at the Barcelona event. So, the Xperia Z6 at MWC? At this point we doubt it.
