We have heard plenty about the HTC One X9, a smartphone that is expected to be a mid-range effort from the struggling Taiwanese company. The handset was certified by TENAA last month so we know its launch is imminent and now there are some leaked images of the device. The design is pretty standard HTC stuff these days, good looking and premium, but starting to veer to completely unoriginal. As for specs, the HTC X9 will be a large smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p Full HD resolution, an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of native storage with expandable micro SD card space. Elsewhere there is a 13 megapixel camera around the rear and a 5 megapixel front facing lens, while Android 5.0.2 Lollipop will serve software duties. As for HTC's next flagship the One M10, that is expected to land sometime in the opening months of the New Year, most likely during the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona at the end of February. The M10 will be a fully super phone with all the bells and whistles, including Qualcomm's new blazing Snapdragon 820 processor. We also hope HTC delivers a stunning new design, we certainly know the company is capable of setting new aesthetic standards.
