Microsoft raised the curtain on the Lumia 550 back in October, the first budget smartphone to run the Windows 10 Mobile platform. The company said at the time that it would launch the handset on December 8th, but a bit earlier than planned (the 7th) Microsoft has launched the Lumia 550 in Europe. This is certainly an ideal smartphone if you want to be on the Windows ecosystem but don't necessarily have a vast budget, while if you are looking for Windows 10 and affordability this is the only game in town at the moment. The Lumia 550 costs $139 and is expected to make its way to other global markets in the coming days and weeks. As a refresher, the Lumia 550 comes with a 4.7-inch 720p screen, a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz, and 1GB of RAM. Other notables are 8GB of storage, micro SD card support, a 5 megapixel camera, and a 2100mAh battery.
