ASUS has today confirmed its device roadmap for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with ZenFone 2 range the focus of the company's update schedule. The smartphones receiving the upgrade to Marshmallow are he Asus ZenFone 2, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe / Special Edition, the ZenFone 2 Laser, the ZenFone Selfie and the Asus Padfone S.While the company has not confirmed as such, we guess the soon to be released (and long-time unveiled) ZenFone Zoom will also be in line to receive Android 6.0. Unfortunately, if you are rocking an ASUS handset that is not listed in the above paragraph then you are unlikely to ever see Marshmallow. That's a little disappointing as it means the original ZenFone range will not be getting the upgrade, so it looks as though ASUS is only supporting handsets on a yearly cycle. Some of the Marshmallow changes coming to eligible ASUS smartphone include a more robust version of Google Now, native support for fingerprint scanners, an enhanced app permissions system, and myriad other changes.
