HTC's One M9 flagship is running out of steam, not that it was a sales hit to begin with, and to drag as much as possible from the admittedly excellent smartphone, the company has a special deal for U.S. customer today. Just for today, the company is giving away a free Desire 626 smartphone when a One M9 is purchased in the good ol' US of A.The Desire 626 costs $179.99, which means you get a near $200 budget handset for free, although you will stay have to pay full price for the One M9. HTC's flagship is not cheap, costing a whopping a $649 off contract, so it is an investment. However, a free phone on top is certainly a solid incentive if you want a taste of HTC's classy handset. The caveats? Well, firstly you only November 17th to take up this option, while you can only grab this deal from HTC exclusively. It is worth noting that on top of the free Desire 626 you will also get $100 free Google Play credit. The 626 feature 5-inch screen with 720p resolution and has a nice HTC design, which is quite fetching and pure modern HTC. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 purrs under the hood of the Desire 626, running at 1.1GHz. Elsewhere there is Android 5.1 with HTC Sense 7 over the top, and the color choices of Marshmallow White, Gray Lava, Blue Lagoon, Marine White, and White Birch.
