Users have been able to run Firefox on Android for some time, but those on Apple's iOS have been waiting for the browser to land on that platform. Mozilla has been running a beta app on iOS recently and now the company has officially rolled out Firefox for the platform, meaning iPhone and iPad users can now use the browser. The reason for the delay has been because Mozilla uses its own Gecko engine to run Firefox, but Apple only allows browsers that use its WebKit engine. As Apple never caves in, it seems that Mozilla decided to just use WebKit to have the benefit of access to millions of iOS users. You can check out the Firefox browser via Apple's App Store on iOS devices.
