Samsung has confirmed its next Unpacked event very early, saying that its 2016 Unpacked event will be held on February 21st, 2016. The event will almost certainly be used for the company to lift the curtain on its Galaxy S7, the handset that will replace the current Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge as the company's flagship device. This year the S6 was unveiled during the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona and that could well be the case for 2016. MWC will be running from February 22nd to February 25th, but keynote product launches are typically held the day before the official opening of the trade show, which would be the 21st. After a return to form with the Galaxy S6, we are expecting a lot from the Galaxy S7 and the handset is likely to see Samsung work with Qualcomm again. The Korean giant opted to use its Exynos 7420 exclusively in the S6 range as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 suffered overheating problems. However, the Snapdragon 820 is out in the wild now and Samsung is reportedly going to go back to offering two chipset variants of its flagship.
