Apple's last iPhone launch event was a blockbuster affair. Smartphones, tablets, and even pencils flew were introduced, but there was one much rumored product that was missing. Cupertino had been widely tipped to be launching an iPhone 6c, a sequel to the iPhone 5c that offers consumers a chance to have an affordable Apple handset.Of course, affordable is used very loosely as the iPhone 5c was hardly a bang for your buck smartphone, and in fact we think it was a pretty pointless device overall. Apple already had the outgoing iPhone 5, which had the same specs and a metal design, while the 5c has colorful plastic bodies. So, what about the iPhone 6c? Well, apparently the handset is still under consideration by Apple and will be launched in 2016, according to some reports. This time the device will come with a metal body, but most intriguing will be to see what specs the 6c comes with. If it lands with the same specs as any previous iPhone model, it will again be a pointless product as Apple may as well just call it the iPhone 6. As for launch, while some reports say the device will be unveiled during the first half of next year, we know that it will not be because Apple launches products in the fall and will not break that cycle for a spring launch.
