HTC said that is flagship devices like the One A9, One M9, and One M8 will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow within three months after the platform launched earlier this month. That means those handsets should be getting the update sometime in January, and that seems to be the case with the One M8 as the Marshmallow software for that handset received certification for Bluetooth SIG recently. The request for certification was submitted on September 22 and HTC got the documents back on September 29. Of course, the One M8 is the company's 2014 flagship, so if it is already on its way to getting Marshmallow then we can only assume that the newer One M9 and One A9 are also close. HTC has even said that its M flagships (sadly not the best of the bunch, the M7) will be getting Android 6.0 by the close of 2015.
