One of the best things about the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagships announced earlier this month was the Continuum software that allows them to be hooked up to a screen and used as a fully functioning PC. The handsets themselves are excellent, but this feature was unique and difference maker, although it came with one significant caveat. While Continuum works wireless, it needs an added peripheral known as a Display Dock, which connect the smartphone to a screen. This Display Dock costs a whopping $99, which is probably worth it for some, but not most. We said when the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL launched that it would have been great if Microsoft added this dock as a freebie. The company has done the right thing as consumers in Europe, including the United Kingdom, are reporting that they are getting the Display Dock for free when pre-ordering the new Windows 10 Mobile flagships. There is still no word on whether this will be the case in the United States, and it seems to be a gift for early adopters of the handsets who make a purchase before January 31st, 2016.
