Huawei is continue to enhance its position in the smartphone market. The Chinese company is currently locked in a fight for third place in the market against the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo/Motorola, and LG. Huawei's third quarter shipments suggest that company may be the front runner to take that third position at the end of this year.Far more pleasing than market position will be the actual sales figures, which are impressive. Huawei moved some 27.4 million smartphone units for the third quarter running June 1 to September 30, which equates to a not too shabby 68 per cent rise on the same time in 2014. That number has been achieved through strong sales of the Mate 7, P7 and P8, while in the fourth quarter sales may be enhanced further by the arrival of the Nexus 6P, which Huawei built. Huawei it going to destroy last year's overall sales numbers as the company has already topped 75 million smartphone sales in 2015 and is likely to crack 100 million by the close of the year.
