Microsoft's seismic shift to put its software and services on rival platforms has seen the company really get behind the new ethos. The company has delivered stunning apps in recent months and years, and now it has updated its Skype app for iOS to take into account Apple's latest innovations. The new update brings 3D Touch capabilities to Skype on Cupertino's platform. Before discussing the changes in question, we should add that this shows that Microsoft is truly committed to its cross platform operations, and is not shying away from making its services highlight key features on rival devices. 3D Touch on Skype delivers so much more than force touch on the home button (which is present incidentally), but also adds the ability to bring up extra options while on a call. Filters for videos on the go has also been added, while you can also hide recent conversations with a simple swipe.
