Despite Apple's third quarter iPhone sales falling below analyst predictions the company still shifted vastly more units compared to last year and CEO Tim Cook is in bullish mood. He said that Apple continues to steal consumers from Android and the company reported that its expansion in China and Taiwan is going extremely well.Cook said that 30 per cent of iPhone consumers in the last quarter came from Google's Android platform and he said that the company WILL beat its record sales from the last fourth quarter. Cook explained that two thirds of all iPhone users (not just new consumers) own a device that is smaller than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 introduced last year. He says there is still plenty of room for growth through consumers upgrading to newer models, which he thinks will make sales very high again this Holiday season. In China Apple has made huge strides, and even overtaken Samsung in the key market while also usurping Xiaomi for one period. The Q3 report revealed that sales in China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, have increased by 99 per cent in the last year.
