AnTuTu is just one of the benchmarking software used to put smartphones through their paces, and while real world application is another thing entirely, it is always good to see a list of which devices are fastest. AnTuTu has released a list of the fastest Android smartphones through the third quarter of this year.It is hardly a surprise to see Samsung dominate the list, just as it did in the first half of the year with the Galaxy S6. This time the honor of fastest Android handset on AnTuTu goes to the new Meizu PRO 5. Yes, that is not a Samsung smartphone, but it is powered by Sammy's flagship Exynos 7420 processor, a chipset that is nestled into the top five devices on the list. So, why is the Meizu PRO 5 faster than the next four handset with the same silicon? Well it is easily explained actually as the Meizu sports a simple 1080p screen while the other four handsets have more power draining Quad HD panels. The top 10 looks like: Meizu PRO 5 Galaxy Note 5 Galaxy S6 Edge Plus+ Galaxy S6 Galaxy S6 Edge 1 Pro 1 MAX Xperia Z5 Note Pro OnePlus Two
