Sony has announced that its concept build for Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now rolling out to users of the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. The news comes several weeks after the company revealed that 10,000 owners of those two smartphones would get a chance to test the build ahead of its official full release later in the year.

If you are one of the 10,000 to receive an invite, you can now pull in the Marshmallow concept build although Sony says that the roll out is taking place over several weeks. That means some users may now get the update right away and will need to wait it out.

The Japanese company says it had a "fevered response" to its request for volunteers to test the Marshmallow build, so the company opened up new spaces to hand out. The program is only available for those Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners living in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.
