We smell something in the air. We have noticed that just before Motorola is tipped to announce a new smartphone there is a sizeable leak that confirms the handset in no doubt. That has happened again with the rumored DROID MAXX 2 as an email from inside Motorola seems to confirm the device, unless the company is trolling us.Quite simple, an internal (or meant to be internal) email shows that the sender's message was "Sent from my DROID MAXX 2" and considering the company has since moved it we think the leak was genuine. As with all DROID devices, the MAXX 2 will be a Verizon exclusive in the United States, but will probably be released in other global regions with a different name. That different name is the Moto X Play, a device that is already available and was confirmed to be the DROID MAXX 2 by Google earlier this month.
