The Motorola Force is also the Motorola Kinzie and the Motorola XT1585, while consumers in the United States are probably going to call it the DROID Turbo 2. Whatever the name of this device is, it will almost certainly be a beast, at least judging by the specs that were revealed as the handset passed through China's 3C certification website. In the U.S. the new Motorola will be a Verizon exclusive on the DROID brand, a range of smartphones known for their flagship quality specs and rugged appeal. That ruggedness will go up a notch this year as there are reports that the DROID Turbo 2 will sport a 5.4-inch screen with unbreakable glass. Just what unbreakable actually means remains to be seen, but we imagine it will be hard to put a scratch on this panel. As for the other specs, the certification in China reveals Quad HD resolution (1440 x 2560) on that mega-tough panel, a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage, a 21 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front facing lens, and a 3760mAh battery. More or less it is the same specs as the Moto X Pure, save for the inclusion of a higher end Snapdragon (the Pure gets a Snapdragon 808). However, whereas the sub $450 Moto X is a bargain, the DROID Turbo 2 will cost $630, which is full on flagship level cost. Will the device be worth it purely based on its ruggedness?
