With Android 6.0 Marshmallow readying for a roll out to devices across the platform, how is its predecessor Android Lollipop fairing in the overall platform landscape? Well, very good as it turns out, which when discussing means as good as can be expected due to the huge fragmentation on the platform. That's not a complaint either, we love Android's openness, but there is no doubt it impacts the platform struggling to get huge numbers on a single build. Never mind all that though as Lollipop has positioned itself as the third most used Android build, accounting for 23.5% of all Android devices on the market. Its predecessor KitKat continues to be popular too, taking up 38.9%, which means Android Jelly Bean is finally firmly knocked off its perch. Worryingly the four year old Jelly Bean is still on 30.2% of all Android devices.
